British-American Artist. Pop, R&B, Soul. Wolverhampton, Cambridge, Orlando.
About
Jordan Maureen is a British-American artist based in Wolverhampton, Cambridge and Orlando. Jordan’s music blends pop, R&B and soul, with lyrics that have been inspired by her life growing up as a mixed-race woman and career as a doctor. By sharing her own experiences of life, love and loss, she hopes to connect with and build a community of people who share a passion for honest musical storytelling.
Background
Born to an American mother and British father, Jordan grew up predominantly in Wolverhampton, UK with her three siblings. Inspired by artists like Alicia Keys, Destiny’s Child, Whitney Houston, JoJo, Tori Kelly, Kelly Clarkson, Michael Jackson and Queen, she learned how to sing and play the piano in her childhood.
After working as a doctor in Birmingham, she transitioned from a clinical career to spend more time on her artistry. Nowadays, when she’s not creating music or performing, she helps organisations to improve health and care services.
Highlights
Jordan is the lead vocalist for Cambridge’s most popular monthly funk jam at La Raza and a graduate of the Advanced Popular Performance Scheme at the University of Cambridge. She was most recently a top 10 finalist in Gary Barlow’s P&O Cruises Talent of Tomorrow competition.
Current Projects
Jordan is currently working on her debut single/album project with Cambridge-based artist and producer, Dan Wilde.
