Jordan Maureen is a British-American singer-songwriter, based in Wolverhampton UK, Cambridge UK and Orlando FL. Expressive yet playful, her melodic style reflects a longstanding love of R&B, soul and pop music traditions. Writing for and self-accompanying with a piano, her lyrics speak to life, love and loss, and have been inspired by her experiences and those close to her. Jordan’s sound infuses smooth R&B vocals with the power of a contemporary pop belt.
Background
Born to an American mother and British father, Jordan grew up predominantly in Wolverhampton, UK with her three siblings. After training as a doctor in Birmingham, she left her medical career to spend more time on her musical artistry, including performance, songwriting and music production. She plays with two bands in Cambridge and was most recently a vocalist on the Advanced Popular Performance Scheme at the Centre for Music Performance, University of Cambridge. When not creating music or performing, she is studying part-time for her PhD in Public Health and Primary Care at the University of Cambridge.
